Agloco Email

Recently there was a email in by inbox, which was send by the Agloco Management. Some interesting facts are there -

Our first data points are in with our AGLOCO/Ask search system. Average net revenue for AGLOCO per click is already over US$0.20 – the average Member click through rate on ads on the Ask search page - 20% to 25% of the time the ad is clicked on (one ad click for every 4 to 5 searches).If every AGLOCO Member did 4 to 5 Ask searches a day and they clicked on average just one ad, the revenue generated for the AGLOCO community would be US$6.00 per month per Member. This would be a great start to building revenue for Member distributions.AGLOCO’s challenge is to get every Member to have the Viewbar open all the time and to use the Ask search box to make their searches. If you haven’t used the Viewbar to do an Ask search. We implore you to do it now. Member feedback on the Ask search results has been extremely favorable (most Members reporting they rate Ask results as good as Google’s or better.).

Agloco Latest Update

There was recently a post on the official blog of the Agloco. From the past few months this post was one of the most informative regarding the Agloco future Prospercts :
The post goes here :-First – for those of you who have given some thoughtful ideas, questions and opinions on our posts during the last two weeks – thank you.
At this point, we would like to give some feedback on some of the ideas and thoughts given.
Is the payment plan posted last month a permanent plan? No – as noted in a comment we made this is a plan we wanted to implement now to show Members that even though AGLOCO is currently losing money the hours they are putting in now would be compensated. Our website states that we will make no distributions until profitable. We could have considered a plan that the June, July, and August hours would be paid zero since no profits were forthcoming. We felt that would be an unfair plan to those Members who were supporting AGLOCO in its startup period. That is the purpose of this initial plan.
Can the payments be sped up? Of course they could – although the idea we were considering was making additional ‘bonus’ payments to the early hours (June, July, August, etc 2007 hours) when and if additional funds became available.
Should AGLOCO borrow money to pay Members? We believe this would be a critical error for AGLOCO. Giving out money that it was not earning was the downfall of AllAdvantage and we believe that spending only what AGLOCO makes is the best course for long term stability.

I have not posted on my own here for awhile but I thought I’d write one sharing my personal thoughts on the payment program discussed in the last post (there will be another post with answers to questions made in comments which should be out this week – and written by others).

Agloco Update

I joined Agloco in december 2006, it has been a long time and till now I have not earned a penny from it. Still I am promoting Agloco coz its all about the Vision of any thing.

There has been a recent update from the Agloco officials, which describes about the Revenue earning and also the Tech update.
Revenue – We are near completion with one of two improved revenue agreements. These should be implemented in August. They should greatly enhance September’s revenue in search and North American ad revenue. We are also in negotiations with one European network, to improve revenue there.
Tech Update- The tech team reported that the fix to the August hours will be occurring on Thursday the 9th. Until that time the display will not show correct August hours. The last three weeks have consumed our tech team with server improvements – this did not go as the team had anticipated with load balancing problems at the ISP. This should be resolved shortly and they can get back to the other pressing needs of AGLOCO. As we change to improved servers the AGLOCO website will be down for a period of time (the amount of time will depend on where in the world the Member is that is trying to reach the site). People will see a notice page saying we are doing maintenance. Projects like updating the website and emails to all Members will then be attended to.
Media – As reported earlier, Brian recently gave a recorded interview. In it, he talked about the AGLOCO Vision and he answered some questions about the company’s current progress and trajectory.

Agloco Future

There was a recent a post on the Agloco official blog. If we go through this post we can easily access the brighter side of the Agloco. The Agloco viewbar has been recently launched so it will take some time to come in its full swing. Any company can grow in phases only .The development of Agloco can be summarised as:-

Viewbar Stability:-We will be releasing an updated version of the Viewbar software within a week that will take care of some of the remaining ‘bugs’, and we will continue to stabilize the software. If you already have the Viewbar, you do not need to do anything to get this new version, as your Viewbar should automatically self-update with it. For the most part it seems these remaining ‘bugs’ appear minor and only affect a very limited number of members. This is good. This means we can put our primary emphasis on the next phase of the Viewbar while leaving a small team to work on the minor bugs.

Website Stability:-We will be making the Viewbar software available on one trusted alternate download site (we are picking it now and it will be all set up before we send a Viewbar download “reminder” email to the Membership). This should help our servers balance the website traffic with the stress of the download process. We will continue to make adjustments and improvements to our servers in order to improve performance for those browsing.

Ad Rotation:-We are working with the ad server people to optimize this process. The way they initially rotated the ads was crashing their servers with all the Viewbars asking for ads, so they have needed to improvise. Now it seems that some Members are getting rotating ads and others aren’t, depending on browser settings and computer environment. They are working on solutions so their ads show up on all Viewbars, regardless of computer environment or settings. I do not know how long this will take, but we have seen a steady improvement in the number of users who get rotating ads, so it seems progress is being made.







The next phase for AGLOCO is the maximizing of Viewbar revenue.

1.Improving our search and ad revenue sources and sharing agreements. As more Members use the Viewbar, our bargaining power grows.
2.Start the Viewbar targeting system. One part of this system will focus ads based on your searches and surfing. Another part of this system will focus ads based on where you live (of course, AGLOCO will need to have a contract with ad networks in each of these countries to provide local ads in local countries).
3.Better inform Members of the revenue generating opportunities on the Viewbar.
4.Continue to work with existing Members who have not yet activated their Viewbars. We expect that after the initial spike of downloads this process will be one of gradual adoption. New Members signing up will have access to the Viewbar right away.
5.Continue to make improvements to encourage continued viral growth of the AGLOCO Membership. This includes website improvements, increased Viewbar functionality, and an opt-in Member-to-Member communication system
